Project of single bedroom apartment very well located in Porto Alegre – RS
The apartment of 25m2, located in the renowned neighborhood Cidade Baixa in the state capital, after its renovation, occured a high valuation (approximately R$ 50,000.00) in the sale value. This project was a partnership with the architect Natalia Pires.
The box had plastic curtains and we replaced them with another, but made of glass, we changed the toilet, which was in front of the box and is now facing the sink. We reconfigured the whole bathroom, gaining space. We use black metro tile to get a modern look. Out of the box: porcelain imitating marble. All hydraulics have been redone: We installed hydra system in the toilet, now with two different pressure valves, a system widely used for water saving. In the bedroom: renewal of the floor: outside sanded and applied wax. We've embedded all the electrical on the wall in order to remove the channels. The footer has also been replaced by a newer one.
In the kitchen: ceramic Metro White, which is the same as the bathroom, but in the opposite color. We put a new sink in the kitchen that is supported on a mini countertop, dividing it from the living room. We also installed a flexible black faucet and used the same porcelain tile as the bathroom. We installed a demarcation of sink space, using porcelain tiles that mimics the burnt cement in the bathroom and on a piece of the kitchen. The kitchen wall was painted greenish blue and has a very similar tone to the old painting of the apartment, dating back 50 years. Kitchen pendants (lighting) are in geometric shapes and form several triangles. We used hot lights with LEDs that mimic incandescent bulbs. The iron window in the kitchen, just like the one in the living room, was replaced by an aluminum window, which allows greater circulation of air and light, also that of the room had been replaced, since it was rotten as well.
