Ponto De Cor Project: A Celebration of Culinary Art and Accessibility
Welcome to our project inspired by the delightful "art" of cooking - Ponto De Cor. Created with a palette of dark tones and black tiles, this project seeks to harmonize visual aesthetics with practical functionality. Each element has been meticulously planned to represent layers of flavors, from the different types of MDF used to the strategically positioned artwork and plants.
Harmonizing Elements:
The dark tones of black tiles bring bold elegance to the kitchen. We've utilized different types of MDF - Trancoso, Black, and Chroma - to create a visual interplay reminiscent of layers in a well-crafted meal. Chroma was chosen as the "peak of flavor," adding a vibrant touch to the environment.
Inclusion and Accessibility:
The focus on accessibility is also reflected in the project. A central countertop with a second level at 75cm from the ground provides easy access for wheelchair users. Ample and deep recesses beneath the furniture allow 180º turns with wheelchairs, making the space entirely inclusive.
Strategic Lighting and Visual Effects:
Lighting plays an essential role in creating the atmosphere. Pendant lights, LED strips, switches, and outlets have been carefully integrated for a well-lit and functional cooking experience. LED effects on the plaster, tears in the wall, and the top of the countertops simulate "floating cabinets," adding an innovative and modern touch.
Union of Aesthetics and Functionality:
Appliances are built into the cabinetry, optimizing space and maintaining a cohesive aesthetic. The burnt cement texture on the walls and floor, along with the artwork deliberately placed on the floor, resonates with the message that differences are virtues.
This project is more than a kitchen - it's a celebration of culinary art, accessibility, and innovative design.
