We present to you this exciting retrofit project in a previously underutilized garage. Our approach aims to revitalize the existing portion while incorporating a new area built with concrete blocks, resulting in a significant expansion of the space.
The living room and kitchen occupy the original space of the garage. In an effort to highlight the authenticity of the construction, we introduced new openings and, in selected areas, exposed the original bricks by removing the coating. In the remaining area, we applied a light-toned burnt cement texture, creating a contemporary and inviting atmosphere.
The gable roof, designed with a strategic slope, not only promotes efficient air circulation, reducing the reliance on air conditioning systems but also fills the space with natural light. This creates an airy and luminous atmosphere that enhances the interior experience.
Fulfilling the client's desire, we have crafted a dedicated space for her dream of having a closet. Inside the bedroom, we have conceived an elegant area with French doors that open onto a deck. The closet, conveniently situated within the bedroom, optimizes the flow of circulation and offers a functional and organized environment.
The adjacent bathroom provides convenience for visitors without encroaching on the privacy of the intimate area of the residence. This project celebrates the harmony between the past and the future, where originality meets innovation in a balanced manner.
