The original house, which had 120m2. After 8 months’ worth of renovation, its area increased by 75m2, reaching 195m2. An increase of almost two-thirds of its original size!
Before the renovation, the wooden house had several issues: irregularly cut boards, strong termite infestation and a support pillar in the center of the house, which caused disturbances and affected the internal space.
Despite the problems, the residence was quite diverse, containing two bedrooms, a bathroom, a living room and a kitchen, in addition to a garage, a laundry room and a kennel.
To carry out the renovation, it was necessary to deconstruct all the wooden structures, which were irregular. Doors, windows, roof, among others, were all dismantled. The old laundry room was remodeled into a bathroom and put together to one of the bedrooms, changing it into a suite. To meet the need for a laundry, a new one was built, this one with 14m2. The living room and kitchen, which were made of wood, were remodeled with ecological bricks.
